The next Training Academy for the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) will begin on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 7:00 PM.

There is no cost for the Training Academy itself, however, there is a $30 fee to cover the cost of the training manual and materials.

To be a volunteer, you must:

• be at least 21 years of age
• have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license and proof of insurance
• A cell phone is required and a pager is strongly recommended
• You must:
  • attend each training session in its entirety
  • commit to be on call three, twelve–hour shifts per month, and
  • attend a monthly Continuing Education/Team Building meeting the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM.

A fingerprint background check and DMV check will be performed (at no cost to the volunteer) on each participant.
